A Small Conference Center in the Wilderness of the Swedish Province of Värmland
Lertorpet is located in the little village of Lersjöed, 7 km north of Filipstad and a few hundred meters east of the small lake called Agen. The main building is an old barn completely renovated in 1990, resulting in a relatively modern building.
It should be emphasized that the conference center is especially suitable for persons who appreciate simplicity and enjoy abundant nature. In the surroundings there are numerous reminders of the mining period in Värmland that existed from medieval times up until the beginning of the 20th century.
Facilities: The facilities of the center are best suited for groups of about 32 persons, but can accommodate up to 42. There are 7 rooms with 4 beds in each room and another 7 rooms having 2 beds. One room is reserved for persons with allergy problems. There is also a common meeting room with TV and video.
Kitchen and dining rooms: It is assumed that participants themselves prepare their meals. Catering from a nearby inn for separate meals or meals for the entire stay may be possible. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare, serve, and store food for a maximum of 48 persons. It also includes a dishwasher.
Hygienic facilities: There are 4 showers, 4 toilettes and a sauna.
Teaching facilities: The lecture room can conveniently seat 32 persons when chairs are arranged with tables, but it is possible to seat up to 50 persons. The lecture room is provided with a "pentax" screen, overhead- and slide projectors, as well as a TV with video.
